Just as you were heading to work on Wednesday 16th July, a boat got stuck on the Taieri Mouth bar. The Surf Life Saving Otago SAR squad responded to assist the stranded man and his 2 dogs to shore. Great job by all involved.

Imagine being the subject of a real life marine rescue operation. Dunedin Marine Search and Rescue has a once in a lifetime opportunity for you to be involved in one of our helicopter water rescue training sessions. The lucky winner of the auction will be offered the chance to take part and be winched from the ocean in a mock rescue situation.

Dunedin MSAR will be holding our Annual General Meeting on Thursday 7th August at the Dunedin Central Police Station.

Entries have now closed for our Volunteer of the Year competition. The winner will be announced at our AGM on 7th August.
